Jayden
Tissue Donor
Our precious youngest son, Jayden, was a donor. Jayden was a passenger in a tragic car accident and sustained catastrophic brain injuries and lung injuries. He had turned 18 years old a week before the accident and was medically cleared to enlist in the army. Our greatest joy in such a tragedy was being able to help him donate his organs, tissues, and corneas. A month before our son was killed, we had an in-depth conversation with him about what it meant to put the donor sticker on his ID. He was so excited and never hesitated to say that he would love to help others. That is the person he was. He touched so many lives at the age of 18 years old. After his donations, we met with his friends a few weeks after the accident, and they told us how he was planning his funeral and how he was trying to get all of his other friends to become donors. He explained to them why he was so passionate. Jayden inspired so many people. He had a gentle soul and a loving heart. Jayden had a natural gift for making everyone feel accepted, loved, and a part of a group. Jayden loved basketball and he loved his friends. We miss him more than anything! #momsBFFforever
