Ray

My husband’s name was Ray and on September 3, 2020 we would have celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Ray was only 62 years old when he passed suddenly from a myocardial infarction on July 24, 2020. Sadly, July 24th is also my birthday. Ray was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, mentor, and Coach. He was always ready and willing to lift up anyone who was left behind or abandoned by others was at the core of Ray’s belief system. He consistently provided hope, encouragement, and guidance to the young men and women that were in his classrooms, weight room, and on the field. He changed the direction of countless lives and because of his choice to become a registered donor, he continued to change lives even after his death. I was and am so proud of Ray as a man, his wife, best friend, and finally as an organ/tissue donor. During this very difficult time just knowing he helped others to make their lives better has provided myself and my family with enormous comfort.
