My brother was the kindest and most big-hearted person you would ever meet. He would always help others and put himself last. He loved his mother and all his children. If you were lucky enough to know him, you knew how big his heart was. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss you, and I don’t think of you. You left without saying goodbye. You took a piece of me with you, and I will never be the same, and neither will your daughter. We will always keep your memories alive. We love and miss you so much.

My mom was a beautiful woman. She enjoyed corny jokes, binge watching Netflix, and listening to Bruno Mars. She was most peoples listening ear and she believed in spreading love. We shared many coffee moments. She loved and adored quality time with her only grandchild Grace. She lost her life due to a fatal car crash in February in northwest Ohio. That evening I received the call that she was a donor. Even in her death she gave inspiration, hope, and life to others. I will forever be proud to call her my mom. I love you mom. I’d choose you in every lifetime. Thank you for being you.

Mike lost his years-long battle with cancer in October 2016. He fought courageously and will always be remembered for his energy and larger-than-life personality. Mike’s final days were incredibly difficult for all his loved ones, however comfort was found in being able to honor his final wish, to be an organ and tissue donor. Through Mike’s selfless act, he was able to aid in improving the quality of life of many individuals. May the road rise up to meet you, my friend. This is not goodbye but see you later.

Tina left this earth way too soon at the age of 56. She had SO much work left to do and many more acts of generosity left to display. She was the smartest, hardest working, funniest, most selfless, unapologetically honest and authentic person. She had a fierce love for and commitment to her family and friends. She was everyone’s best advocate . . . Whether they knew they needed it or not. She was an omnipresent, relentless force of nature that you had to experience to understand. You couldn’t ask for a better person to receive the gift of life from. The world and our lives were a much better place with her in it.

We continue to feel her presence and through her gift of organ and tissue donation, continue to witness firsthand her giving spirit and how her never-ending legacy of helping others lives on.

She passed on 27 Aug 23, my spouse and I were driving from Nevada when my sister and dad called and let me know she was a donor and if I approve. She was my world and it tore me up but that’s what she wanted. She would want someone to benefit from anything she could provide.

Steve was a kind generous man. He served in the US Marine Corps. His most recent employment was as a Staff Engineer at Honda. He enjoyed traveling to tropical destinations with his wife of 25 years. Together they raised their blended family of six children and 13 grandchildren. Steve was a giver and always had to ensure everyone was having a good time. He enjoyed taking their fur babies to their camper on the weekends; there was nothing he wouldn’t buy for those babies. He enjoyed spending time and making memories with his family and friends.

Steve passed away on August 14, 2023.

There are no perfect words for my husband’s last act of kindness. I know he wished to give more, but under the circumstances, he could not. I hope he really helped someone and whatever it was that was done, I pray that it worked and made someone else’s life a little easier and happier. Jared was a kind and generous soul who would give anything to help another in need. He was so very loved, smart, hardworking, and respected by many. We honor him every day in some small way and now rely on our memories as a family that was spent together for 23 years. My husband was taken way too soon, but my children and I find comfort in knowing he gave the greatest gift of all in the end. Peace and love to all families out there.

Shawn was taken from us at 48 years old, much too young. He had 5 beautiful daughters, a son, and 2 grandsons. All of whom he loved tremendously. He had found true love with his soulmate and enjoyed not quite 4 years of adventures, love, and laughter. Shawn had a huge heart and was always the first person to offer help when someone needed it. He made friends everywhere he went and had so many people he adopted into his family; nephews, nieces, brothers, and sisters. If he loved you, you were family. It warms my heart to know that he continued to help others even after he was gone. I love you so much, Shawn. You will be missed dearly. Chris was always there for everyone else. That did not change with his unexpected death at 45 years old from complications of high blood pressure (the silent killer). Knowing that your death was not wasted and gave hope to others has also given hope to us. Life must go on even without you. Your love of Star Wars, Disney, movies, and Halloween has made these things bittersweet for those of us left behind. But knowing your life force is still alive helping someone have a better life gives us hope that we will survive the loss of your smile and daily escapades. Sleep well and May the Force be with you.
